Q: How the SafeCaller Software works?

1. Open your preferred contact database application (Act!, GoldMine, FileMaker, Excel, Word, etc.).
Note: if you are running SafeCaller in trial mode you can only use the sample DNC list provided by us to test the software.
2. Run SafeCaller from your "Start" menu or from your Desktop icon
3. Click on the desired number and it gets checked against the do not call list instantly.
Note: A phone number can also be checked by typing the number in the SafeCaller's text box and click the “check” button or hit enter from your keyboard.
Q: What type of phone numbers is SafeCaller software able to check?
A: Any phone number in US Standard format.
Q: What databases can the software interact with?
A: It supports most Windows database applications.
Note: SafeCaller software is not able to read phone numbers existing in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files.
Q: How to keep track of the checked phone numbers?
A: The program is able to create a log file in your computer with all the checked phone numbers, DNC status, date and time. By default this feature is disabled. You can enable this feature by clicking on the options button provided by SafeCaller and check the box called “Write log file”. After this feature was enabled, you can always access the log file by clicking on the SafeCaller icon existing next to your desktop clock.
Q: What is “Dock application window” feature?
A: By leaving the “Dock application window” box unchecked will allow the SafeCaller software to move next to the checked number to help user identify the number that was just verified. By default this feature is disabled. You can always enable/disable it by clicking on the Options button and check/uncheck the “Dock application window” box.
Q: Can the software work without an internet connection?
A: The SafeCaller software is a standalone program that does not require users to use a web browser or third party software; however, users must be connected to an ISP for it to function properly.
Q: How often the DNC list get updated in your server?
A: Your protection is important to us! We will download, update and maintain your DNC list on a daily basis so your list is always fresh. Please keep in mind that fines are applied only for calls made to numbers that are present in the DNC registry for more than 31 days. We cannot be held responsible for any calls made that were not in compliance with the DNC regulations.
Q: Can a username and password be used in more than one computer?
A: No. Using the same login info in more than one computer requires purchasing of a new license!
Q: Were can I get the Do Not Call List from?
A: The Do Not Call list can be obtained by visiting National Do Not Call Registry website (https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov). |
